Hero, the general’s son, had run away from home because his father was about to remarry and take in his stepson to live with them in the house. He then met Pop, a poor boy and classmate at school, and Hero pretended to be poor in order to get close to Pop.
But then, he found out that Pop was his stepmother’s son. Problems lined up to get in their way, and both must use love to overcome class barriers and obstacles from those around them. Finally, both of them learned that teenage love is as addictive as heroin. They become addicted to each other without class and all conditions.
Goodness, I can barely recognise the story from the original Chinese version.
Warren A: this my biggest worry after hearing they were redoing it. But sometimes you just have to watch it as a separate story and see if you enjoy it for itself.
As if I’m honest I don’t think anyone could remake and any where close to addicted. It’s a masterpiece.

Why are all the stories hesitating all the way through the series. Very annoying to watch. Paid money to watch these series and this was not happening before.
If anyone is looking for a master class in “how to remake a decent show into a terrible one” they will surely succeed by watching this show!!
