Aoyama Kanata is a popular student who is always surrounded by people, yet there is a certain emotional distance about him. Senkawa Akira is an academically outstanding loner. They don’t know each other’s names or classes, but they recognize each other by face.

One day, these two opposites meet on the stair landing that leads to the school rooftop. In a space meant only for the two of them, where the bustle of school feels far away, they begin to talk about feelings they can’t share with anyone else. In a hidden corner of the school that no one knows about, they share a single earphone and listen to the sound of a guitar riff. Before they realize it, their heartbeats begin to overlap and move as one.
