The film was produced under Fuji TV’s Blue Lynx label, which focuses on the shōnen-ai and yaoi genres and works primarily in film animation. It lasts 59 minutes and is adapted from chapter 15 to chapter 28.

News of its release was first announced on September 19, 2019. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the film was postponed and was scheduled to be released on August 22, 2020 in theaters in Japan.
